On the “Real Housewives of New Jersey,, viewers often saw Teresa Guidice and her husband, Joe, living a lavish lifestyle like several of their co-stars. In 2012, however, the couple was forced to file for bankruptcy after admitting that they made only $70,000 total with liabilities that reached nearly $9 million.
“What is true is that due to the economy, most of my husband’s real estate ventures failed despite his hard work and effort,” said Guidice confirming her bankruptcy to People.
“As a result, we looked to the bankruptcy court for a ‘fresh start.’ ”
