What type of workouts do you recommend for beginners?
I would recommend Circuits. Circuits are where you do one exercise followed by another and another and so on until you’ve done the whole circuit of exercises, rest for a couple minutes, then repeat the whole circuit. Circuit exercises can be strength exercises, cardio, or some combination. Doing circuit exercises will keep things interesting. For beginners, remember to start slowly, it can be easy to overdo it with a program like this. I recommend you start with just four to five exercises and rest 10-30 seconds between each at first. As you progress, you can later cut the rest period down until you’re not resting between exercises, only between circuits.
Which would you say has the most impact on weight loss – diet or exercise?
Diet! A good & proper diet is vital to successful weight loss and management, and for good health. Several benefits of a good diet are improvement in cholesterol, reduction of blood pressure, and increase in overall energy. Many people believe they have to deprive themselves of their favorite foods, but choosing certain foods in moderation is key to successful long-term weight loss.
If you had to chose one exercise, which would be your favorite? Why?
My favorite exercise would my newly created Sauna Pushup workout. That has become my favorite workout because Sauna training by nature pushes you harder than your body is willing to endure. Working out in the sauna will raise your heart rate, which increases the intensity of the workout, and leads to more calories lost. Additionally, working out in the sauna can restore energy levels, improved sleeping patterns and lower blood pressure.
