Dallas police officer arrested for allegedly raping woman in squad car

A Dallas police officer has been arrested for allegedly forcing a woman to have sex in the backseat of his squad car. According to reports by NBCDFW, La’Cori Johnson, 28, pulled the victim and her friend over on the night on Sept. 9, 2013.

Johnson told the victim that she had a warrant out for her arrest and placed her in handcuffs. The officer told the victim’s friend to leave and put her in the backseat of his squad car. Johnson then drove the victim to an isolated location and got in the back seat with the victim. As the victim began to cry, Johnson told her that he wouldn’t take her to jail if she followed his instructions.


The officer took off his belt and forced the victim to have oral sex and he eventually had sex with her. When dropped the victim off, she told her mother and they reported the incident to the Dallas Police Department. The woman told police she had sex with Johnson out of fear.

Johnson, who once played football at Southern Methodist University, recently resigned from his position after an Internal Affairs investigation. He has been charged with


second degree sexual assault.
