Most divorcing couples fight over money and kids, but one bitter wife in England wants her kidney back.
Back in 2009, Samantha Lamb, 41, gave her husband, Andy Lamb, a kidney to save him after years of dialysis only to have him walk out on her a few years after the transplant and find out that he had been having an affair with her best friend. The British woman believes the cheating occurred as she recovered post-surgery after having her kidney removed.
“I can’t believe he now has a second chance to live to see his grandchildren grow up,” Lamb said. “I would definitely go through the operation again — but I wouldn’t give the kidney to him. I hate him. If I could, I’d take it back and give it someone else. Obviously I don’t want people to be put off [from] putting their names on the organ donor list. But all I want from him is his name on the divorce papers.”
Of course, Andy Lamb said he was never unfaithful to Samantha and will not be giving the kidney back.
“I did walk out on Samantha after she’d donated her kidney, but I wasn’t unfaithful, I never wanted her to donate her kidney because it was a big risk. But she insisted and I’ll always owe her my life. I loved her but our relationship wasn’t working. We had big rows and her family never liked me, Despite what Samantha believes, I’ve never been with her friend. I just helped train her dog,” he said.
The mother of one now wants a divorce and says that she is trying to get on with her life ,although she is reminded about the breakup whenever she sees the 4-inch scar left from the operation.
