When a seasoned entertainment reporter made the very stupid mistake of confusing Samuel L. Jackson for Laurence Fishburne, he was given the shaming of his life by the actor.

L.A.’s KTLA channel 5 reporter Sam Rubin confidently asked Jackson about his recent Super Bowl ad, referencing Laurence Fishburne’s Kia commercial that featured him dressed as Morpheus from The Matrix.

After asking Rubin what commercial he was speaking of, Samuel L. Jackson quickly caught on and corrected the befuddled anchor before rightfully berating him about it.

You’re as crazy as the people on Twitter,” said Jackson. “I’m not Laurence Fishburne!”

“My mistake, my mistake!” an obviously embarrassed Rubin replied.

“We don’t all look alike, I know we’re black and famous but we don’t look alike,” Jackson continued. “You’re the entertainment reporter and you don’t know the difference between me and Laurence Fishburne?!”

Unfortunately for Rubin, his flub soured the interview and even when he tried to change the subject to Jackson’s new movie, RoboCop, Jackson continued to school him.

“I’m the ‘what’s in your wallet’ black guy,” said Jackson.

“I’ve actually never done a McDonald’s or Kentucky Fried Chicken commercial, I know it’s hard to believe,” he added.
