“This is very clear this needs to be investigated, someone is passing the buck, and this was not from an overdose. This nation has a long and marked history of not understanding the category of personhood. [George] Zimmerman, for example, is a victim of this history.
“Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said of St. Augustine, Florida, it ‘was the most lawless town I have ever seen in America.’ Ever since that time the whole attitude of Stand your Ground is rooted in this fact of racism. Until the demonization of minorities ceases, that is blacks, Hispanic, gays, Asian, etc.
