Trinidad James was arrested in Batesville, Mississippi this past weekend after he was allegedly caught smoking marijuana in a hotel room. Despite the incident at the Batesville Holiday Inn, it appears that the Atlanta rapper won’t have to worry about the repercussions.
TMZ reports that James won’t be facing charges stemming from the arrest.
It was reported that the Panola County Police Department responded to a hotel staff member’s complaint that the smell of marijuana was coming from the room. The police arrived and arrested the rapper.
According to TMZ, the police cops have “backed off the case,” but did not elaborate as to why the rapper won’t be prosecuted. The police won’t be presenting the case to prosecutors at all.
