All is well in the YMCMB world. Or at least, that’s what they want everyone to believe.
For several months, Young Money fans have speculated about the interpersonal relationships between some of the label’s biggest stars. In particular, Drake has seemed to be scrutinized the most. Many believed the Toronto native is distancing himself from other notables in the YMCMB camp–including fellow label star Nicki Minaj. During a recent interview with Hot 97, Nicki was asked about the perceived estrangement between she and Drizzy.
According to Nicki, there’s still nothing but love between the two label mainstays.
“That’s my baby,” Nicki told Angie Martinez. “Drake is the one that told me to get on ‘Danny Glover.’ He told me to get on that and Safaree SB told me to get on ‘Boss A– B–ch’ ’cause I was in album mode, so they both were just comin’ at me like, ‘You’re gonna have to get on that,’ and I just happened to do it. But Drake and I are great. We are in a great space.”
Nicki went on to say that YMCMB is in a great place and has never been more unified than it is now.
“I think the whole team collectively just feels so together right now,” she explained. “We all kinda just wanna win. Wayne’s about to put out his album and I know Drake’s been in the studio with him. We just workin,’ no bad blood, no bad vibes at all.”
