Black male, 22, found strangled to death in Cancun after bill dispute in gay bar

Craig Taylor went to Cancun, Mexico, to enjoy college Spring Break with his brother and two friends. However, Taylor, 22, was found strangled to death two days after arriving in Cancun.

According to reports by Union Cancun, Taylor and his group visited a gay bar on March 1. At some point during the night, Taylor got into a dispute with employees at the bar over the bill.


Taylor believed the bill was too high and accused the waitress of stealing his credit card. Reports claim that Taylor and the group left the restaurant. But Taylor was later found strangled to death on the side of road.

The American Embassy confirmed that the dead body was Craig Taylor of Kissimmee, Fla.


Police have questioned five suspects from the bar; Javier Pérez Solís, Juan Antonio “Tony” Quiroz Ortiz, Noel “Lilo” Vargas Gómez, Walter Berner Rock Neighborhoods, and Jesus Adolfo Ruiz Alvarez.

However, no one has been arrested for Taylor’s murder.
