Openly pansexual rapper Angel Haze has certainly been an outspoken figure in hip-hop when it comes to gender, sexuality and homophobia in society. Last week she was very outspoken on Twitter when she detailed a homophobic incident that she witnessed on a recent flight.
According to Angel’s Twitter account, while boarding a Virgin Atlantic flight she witnessed a flight attendant make disparaging remarks about a lesbian passenger.
Angel then explains that the flight attendant admitted to another attendant that she made the remark on purpose.
Angel ended her report of the incident there, but Virgin reportedly reach out to Angel for more details about what happened on the flight. However, it’s unclear whether Virgin got to the bottom of the incident and whether any action was taken against the flight attendant.
In any case, we commend Angel on speaking up (digitally) about the incident and hope Virgin at least disciplined the flight attendant. Check out some other infamous homophobic incidents after the cut. – nicholas robinson
