NeNe Leakes survives voting on ‘Dancing With the Stars’
NeNe Leakes survived another week on ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” and performed an expertly choreographed jive thanks to her partner, Tony Dovolani.
This week there was a double elimination that wiped out two stars; Diana Nyad and Sean Avery. Nyad, the famed long-distance swimmer; and Avery, an ice hockey player, left the show after failing to secure enough votes from fans during week one.
As for Leakes,who was not one of the low scorers this episode, her jive performance scored her a 21 and compliments from the judges.
Judge Carrie Ann Inaba said, “It was really fun to watch”; while Len Goodman told Leakes, “It was a cute routine … you’re so much fun.”
Later, she posed for photos with two of her close friends that came out to show support, Dina Gowins and Mynique Smith.
Leakes will hit the floor again next Monday, March 31, 2014 ,at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
