Eagles kept wide receiver after racial slur
Twitter-verse is outraged that the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles pulled a ruthless and cowardly move by cutting superstar wide receiver DeSean Jackson while leaking to the media that Jackson was unemployable because of his “frightening” ties to street gangs from his Los Angeles hometown.
The indignation is compounded because Eagles head coach and general manager chose to keep another wide receiver, Riley Cooper, who detonated a cultural bomb in the the locker room last year after he was caught on tape saying he would beat “every n—– in here” after he was denied backstage access at a concert by a black security guard.
Jackson is left to pick up the shards of his fractured image by flailing about, trying to convince the league and the public that he is not a gang member and never has been:
