Hillary Clinton was giving a speech to the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries in Las Vegas when a shoe barely missed her head. Security arrested an unidentified woman in connection with the incident and are trying to seek a motive for the attack. The woman did not have any convention credentials and was not supposed to be in the room.
Clinton joked, “My goodness; I didn’t know that solid waste management was so controversial. Thank goodness she didn’t play softball like I did.” Clinton is considering a presidential run in 2016.
The incident was reminiscent of a 2008 episode where two shoes were thrown at President G.W. Bush Jr. while he was giving a speech in Iraq.
