Steve Harvey weighs in on Mimi Faust sex tape

Steve Harvey has been offering up relationship advice for years, ever since he released his self-help book (and film) Think Like a Man. On his morning show, Harvey regularly shares some homespun wisdom to women on how to date. But recently, Harvey set his sights on one woman in particular, Mimi Faust, and offered her some cautionary advice on her new sex tape scandal.

In case you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard about Faust’s newly released sex tape with her boyfriend, Nikko, which was released by Vivid Entertainment today. After news broke about the tape last week, fans quickly blasted Faust for agreeing to release the tape, while also chomping at the bit in wait for the tape’s release. But Harvey sent a message to Faust on his radio show, telling her that there’s no glory or pride in her being in a porn film.

“Stop thinking about right now, whatever little momentary five minutes of fame and little piece of little change it’s going to put in your pocket,” Harvey said recently on his morning radio show. “Whatever money they put in your pocket, it’s not going to be worth the hell that comes with it. It’s not going to be worth your reputation. It ain’t going to be worth your image. It ain’t gonna be worth nothing as it lives in cyberspace forever.”

Harvey explained that since Faust is a mother, sharing a daughter with her ex-boyfriend, Stevie J, her decision to do the porn affects more than just her bank account.

“You can’t have a child and make decisions based on just you and every mother understands that. There’s not a single mother out here that don’t [sic] understand the sacrifices that have to be made as a single mother and the things you [sic] got to give up of yourself to provide for your children,” Harvey said.

And that’s not all he had to say about the sex tape. Read the rest of Harvey’s message to Faust after the cut. – nicholas robinson
