Laz Alonso’s Donald Sterling apology
Laz Alonso is apologizing for offering his opinion on Donald Sterling without being fully informed. As previously reported, Alonso was bombarded with criticism after shrugging off Sterling’s “don’t bring blacks to my games” comments and attributing it to a “dude feeling insecure.”
“Making racial comments when either #roadraging or #arguing with a lover does not count!!! #emotion #passion,” wrote the really cute and initially really clueless actor.
“Everybody acts holier than thou until u do the same. Dude was feeling insecure. End of story!”
Alonso has since deleted his tweets and offered the apology below.
“I made a mistake in speaking b4 getting all the facts about #donaldsterling,” wrote the actor on Twitter. “My sincere apologies. I have now listened to the full audio and do not condone racism of any kind. Lesson learned, I will get ALL the facts before responding on such matters.
Despite Alonso’s apology, he is continuing to get lit up on social media and has been dubbed an Uncle Tom.
@lazofficial you are a KOON! You are not sorry. You realize that your Uncle Tom position might cost you a job! Oh, you CANNOT act!

Ouch. By contrast, however, some people seem to be satisfied with his apology.
@lazofficial happy that you clarified that. Things happen… Get all of the facts before you react
