Small businesses will learn “Where Is the Money!” at May 21 Wells Fargo and Urban League workshop
Experts will help entrepreneurs learn how to obtain loans and credit
Small business entrepreneurs will go on a quest to find out “Where Is the Money!” at a free workshop on Tuesday, May 21. The workshop, which is sponsored by Wells Fargo with the Urban League of Greater Atlanta as part of a national partnership, will also offer free parking and a free continental breakfast, lunch and snacks
The seminar will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Metropolitan State College Conference Center in the Charles Easley Pavilion of the Edwin A. Thompson, Sr. Student Center located at 1630 Metropolitan Parkway, SW in Atlanta.
“This is such a great opportunity for small businesses to learn how to tap into a variety of ways to fund and grow their businesses,” Pamela Cross, senior community development officer for Wells Fargo, shared in a statement to press. “We are thrilled to be working with the Urban League of Greater Atlanta to provide this practical training.”
Sessions will take place with provocative titles like “Tapping into an Angel Network,” “Strategy for Raising Capital” and “Credit Building Strategies for Your Business.”
They will be led by experts from the nonprofit lending and job creation group ACE – Access to Capital for Entrepreneurs –Invest Atlanta, the city’s development authority, the Georgia Micro Enterprise Network, the federal Small Business Administration and Wells Fargo.
“Things are looking up for small businesses so it’s a great chance to learn about obtaining credit and loans,” Nancy Flake Johnson, president of the Urban League of Greater Atlanta, stated. “We are so thankful to Wells Fargo and all our other partners in this great event.”
Wells Fargo’s sponsorship of this event is in conjunction with Small Business Appreciation Month.

The Atlanta event is one of five separate workshops that Wells Fargo is sponsoring with the National Urban League in May. Other events are taking place in Houston, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Philadelphia.
