Miss Lawrence calls Porsha Williams ‘tacky’

Porsha Williams has a knack for putting her foot in her mouth, and she certainly did in video of her giving a sermon several years ago, saying gays need to be saved from hell. Shortly after the video hit the Web, Williams apologized to the LGBT community. However, one of her gay “Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast mates, Miss Lawrence, isn’t convinced by her apology and he recently claimed she’s tacky.

Miss Lawrence and fellow “RHOA” friend Derek J appeared on the “Russ Parr Morning Show” recently and discussed Williams’ infamous sermon, Lawrence explained that everyone is entitled to their beliefs but he criticized the “RHOA” for slamming the gay community while taking from their culture at the same time.

“She’s entitled to her beliefs. I get that part. If you want to hold true to your beliefs, don’t come over to the LGBT community or to the gay girls and want us to help us with your hair, wanna use our gay slang, wanna carry us like your purse. You stay over there and you stick to your beliefs,” Miss Lawrence said.

Derek J, however, took a more forgiving stance when it came to Williams.

“She was a lost soul at the time,” Derek J said. “She didn’t understand.”

But Miss Lawrence claimed that it was offensive that Williams compared gays and lesbians to prostitutes, drug dealers and suicidal people.

“She’s ratchet …tacky… she sat up there and said that the LGBT community needs to be saved. First of all, she paired us, grouped us with crackheads and murderers and stuff,” he said.

Well, we certainly don’t expect to see Williams and Lawrence filming with each other any time soon. –nicholas robinson
