More details emerge about Will and Jada’s child protective services investigation

Earlier this month, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith came under harsh fire from fans when their 13-year-old daughter, Willow, was photographed lying in bed next to shirtless 20-year-old actor Moises Arias. But things got even worse this week when reports revealed that child protective services had opened an investigation on The Smith’s over their parenting. Since then, fans have been clamoring for more information on the growing controversy and now a new report has revealed how the investigation was sparked.

According to RadarOnline, it wasn’t just the photograph alone that caused the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services. Sources claim that an anonymous tipster brought into question Willow’s care by her superstar parents.

“The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services opened the investigation into Will and Jada after the picture of Willow was posted on social media,”  a source told Radar.

“The department received an anonymous tip about the welfare and safety of Willow, based on the contents of the photo,” the source added.

As reported yesterday, the investigation began last week and The Smiths are cooperating with authorities.

“Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have been extremely cooperative with officials. Of course, they aren’t happy that their parenting skills are under scrutiny, but they understand.”

Although we have our doubts about whether or not child protective services will find anything incriminating about the Smith family, this has certainly turned into a sticky situation for the them and it could take an even worse turn at any time. If nothing else, this is proof that you have to be very careful, especially when you’re a celebrity, about what you put on social media. – nicholas robinson
