One of the hardest things a student can go through when attending college is not graduating on time. Ben Jones, a senior at Morehouse College faced such an issue, but his actions caused a statewide alert. Jones did not tell his parents about not graduating on time and instead of facing the consequences, he vanished for almost two weeks while his family worried for his safety and held prayer vigils.
Jones was found alive and well at a local transit system station. A tipster who saw Jones’ parked car alerted police. Roswell Police spokesman Zachary Frommer stated to local news that Jones “felt that he needed to get away from things” and was apparently in no danger. Jones told police he had lost his cellphone and had been traveling from place to place since May 17.
Fortunately for Jones, he will face no charges and his parents have their son back. There was no comment from Morehouse College at the time of publication.
