Al Sharpton, Whoopi Goldberg and others weigh in on Justin Bieber’s N-word scandal

Justin Bieber & Al Sharpton - Cover

Justin Bieber hasn’t been considered innocent and wholesome in years, but his image took some major blows this past week after two videos of a younger Bieber surfaced, showing him using the N-word and singing about killing black people and joining the Ku Klux Klan. And though Bieber has apologized for the controversial videos, many across the nation are still divided over whether Bieber should be shunned or publicly forgiven.

And it’s not just fans who are divided, celebrities are split on the matter as well. Recently, celebs like the Rev. Al Sharpton, Whoopi Goldberg and Mike Tyson all weighed in on the matter and they certainly had some pointed words about Bieber. Check out their responses after the cut. –nicholas robinson

this is a classic example of what is going on with young white kids they are not educated on this in schools , DONT ANYONE GET THIS ….. donald stevino did the same thing as justin and he lost everything time to demand that our children get better educated on the horrible effects racism is having on a whole generation , if you are waiting on kids to SAY ITS WRONG ..IT WANT HAPPEN MOST TEENS DONT UNDERSTAND THE HISTORY OF RACISM MOST KIDS ARE THINKING THOSE PEOPLE (SLAVES ) HAD NOTHIG TO DO WITH US !! JUSTIN BIEBER UNFORTUNATELY CAN BE THE BEST EXAMPLE TO YOUNG PEOPLE SO THEY ALL KNOW AT 15 your responsible at 21 for what you did at 15 hell they certifiying 15 year old murderers as adult , if were saying racism is a cancer sore on our society THEN THAT MEANS HEALING STARTS HERE .
I DONT THINK JUSTIN SHOULD BE CASTRATED LOL .. BUT he is someone our black teens like , and someone has to be the fall guy on racism just like any other crime .. you fall when you fail …

I don’t care if that boy was 14 or 15 years of age or if his mom and he hadn’t been around many African-Americans. He knew full well that the N word is negative, hurtful, demeaning and is not used to “be nice”. The boy is full of crap and just because he has now surrounded himself with many African Americans, doesn’t mean s#!%.

Whoopi and Mike Tyson sound dumb with their statements. Why go into a long dialogue about Canada, young people, and learning new words? Stop defending racism and acting like white people need to be taught how to talk to or about black people. They know and if they don’t, it’s no one’s responsibility to care. Using a racial slur and referencing the KKK? Oh I think he knows enough about race relations to make that connection. Enough with all of these wordy, weak explanations and statements. NO EXCUSES.
