13. Pastor Troy

During a time when the Dungeon Family used spirituality and street ethos in their music, Pastor Troy came with an aggressive form of street music that was inspired by bass music and served as a prelude to the crunk era. Pastor Troy’s “No Mo Play in G.A.” was somewhat of a call for Georgia rappers to take respect without asking permission from their East and West Coast counterparts.

12. B.o.B

Inspired by OutKast’s acceptance of all things eccentric, B.o.B found a way to explore musically while holding on to his Decatur, Georgia, roots. He was able to gain pop stardom with songs “Nothin’ On You,” and “Don’t Let Me Fall.” But he could also delve into street anthems with songs such as “We Still in This,” and “Ready.”
