15 best Atlanta rappers of all time

2. Big Boi

Big Boi often gets left out of discussions as the top rapper in the game. However, he’s always held his own and, at times, performed better verses than Andre 3000. Big Boi’s contributions to OutKast can’t be overlooked. While Andre 3000’s eccentric style can be high risk/high reward, Big Boi has always remained consistent with his ability to speak truth on wax. He’s also responsible for discovering two gifted artists, Janelle Monae and Killer Mike.

1. Andre 3000

Whenever Andre 3000 raps, the hip-hop world pauses to listen and examine the verse. He’s often mentioned with greats such as Jay Z, Nas and Eminem. Although he hasn’t recorded an official album since 2006, he remained relevant by releasing unforgettable guest verses. Andre 3000 is Atlanta’s top rapper and it’s highly unlikely that anyone will take that position anytime soon.
