Earlier this week, Hennessy V.S partnered with Power 92 in Chicago to host an intimate celebration for the release of Trey Songz’s upcoming album, Trigga at Sawtooth Lounge. One week shy of its release, Songz sat down with on-air personality Tone Kapone for an exclusive interview to discuss his album and the state of the music industry as he sees it.

During the interview, which was difficult to hear at times, Songz spoke about the importance of incorporating visuals for each track, something similar to what Beyoncé did for Beyoncé. The bonus album is comprised of 17 songs while the regular album only has 13. As to be expected, the venue was filled with anxious young ladies with high hopes of getting a glimpse (and perhaps a feel?) of the self-proclaimed, “Mr. Steal-Yo-Girl.”

After the interview, Songz was presented with a custom Hennessy-infused cake with an image of his album cover. After taking a bite, he proceeded to party and mingle with guests for the remainder of the event. The album will be available online and in stores July 1.
