If you’re interested in attending next year’s BET Experience Fan Fest, here are some additional tips you should know. I would definitely try to get a hotel around the area of festivities. Most of the events took place behind the hotel, where all the stars resided for the weekend, which was the JW Marriot. Now, of course a hotel stay can get pricey if you don’t research some rates, but hotels like The Historic Mayfair Hotel and Courtyard Marriott were in a fair price range and centrally located about a three minute cab ride away from the stars’ hotel. As you know cab rides, can get costly depending on your location, but once you’ve arrived at the JW Marriott, all the rest of the festivities are within walking distance.

Also, downtown Los Angeles has some great restaurants to check out after all those concerts and informative events. If you want to experience Los Angeles and grab some delicious food without breaking the bank; there are 19 restaurants in that area to choose from. My favorites were: Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill, Smash Burger and The Yard House, which has excellent garlic noodles.

To add to an already busy, but exciting day of events, The BET Experience Fan Fest also brought fans a taste of “Real Hollywood” with their Genius Talks segment. This segment allowed some of our well renowned actors, athletes and artists that have a TV presence we can relate to express themselves. They got a chance to have a few candid conversations with some of the world’s most influential people in our time. People like Will Packer – Think Like A Man Too, Hill Harper, Snoop Dogg, Common, Floyd Mayweather, Omari Hardwick and so many more participated. This year’s BET Experience Fan Fest was truly an enlightening experience.
