Archie Howard and Terri Hymes jailed on child endangerment charges

Despite the hot weather sweeping across the nation and the recent death of a child in Georgia due to being left in a hot car, parents still are not using common sense. Word has come out of Pittsburgh of parents once again leaving an infant in a hot car, this time so they could drink at a bar. Pittsburgh police have arrested Terri Hymes and the stepfather, 27-year-old Archie Howard for leaving their son in a sweltering car.

Police stated that someone called 911 after noticing the infant in the hot car. When police responded, they found the child slumped over, sweating and unresponsive. Even though the car windows were cracked, the temperature in the car was estimated to be around 80 degrees. Both parents were charged with public drunkenness and child endangerment and believe it or not tried to drive away while the police were awaiting paramedics. The young boy was rushed to the hospital and fortunately is expected to make a full recovery.
