Fat Joe admits hurt feelings during beef with Remy Ma

A decade ago, Fat Joe was atop the hip-hop world and Remy Ma was the First Lady of his Terror Squad crew. But somewhere along the way, things soured between the two Bronx-bred rappers and they went their separate ways before Remy was sentenced to years in prison for assault back in 2008. With Remy back home, everyone is speculating on her future career moves–as well as her past.

According to Joe, there is no longer any bad blood between he and Remy at all.

“She called me up and we made peace,” Joe shared. “It was cool with me. I never had a problem. I never hated Remy. I mean, my feelings was hurt with whatever transpired between us. I never hated her. I wished her the best. I’m still rooting for her right now.”

Joe also shared his perspective on Remy’s return to hip-hop after almost a decade with no new music or visibility. He indicated that the public shouldn’t worry about Remy’s age or whether or not she has the ability.

“Remy Martin has no real challenge. Remy Martin is loved. Remy Martin is, pound for pound, top one or two most lyrical female rappers in the world,” Joe stated. “[There’s] a lot of females out there. Not just rapping, but I’m just saying in general. A lot of female fans. She just gotta make hits. At the end of the day, [that’s] what my concern is. And she’s been taught by the hitmakers of the world. She’s gonna be alright. I have no concerns. 34 means nothing. You look, most rappers who are hot today are 34. She looks the same. She’s good.”
