Fans of “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” easily noticed that Lil Scrappy’s first “side chick,” Shay Johnson, was missing from the cast this season. But although Johnson wasn’t in front of the cameras, she previously claimed that she was still a part of Scrappy’s life and definitely still in his bed. Now, Johnson is sharing details about her continued romance with Scrappy and claiming he’ll never walk away from her.
In a new interview with TheJasmineBrand.com, Johnson explains why she decided not to join the cast for this season of “LAHHATL.”
“I didn’t want to deal with certain drama on the show. I tried to go in a direction that’s best for me. I’m not saying I would never do the show. It’s just the situation on the show and what was going on with Scrappy and I outside of the show, it was just too much going on. I didn’t want to be a part of it. I was exposed in a different light, first and second season, as if I was a sidepiece and I was not going to be like that. It’s not like I have anything against Scrappy. Scrappy and I are actually still dealing with each other,” Johnson said.
Despite being absent from the show, Johnson says that she and Scrappy are still friends and still have feelings for each other.
“It’s definitely complicated. A lot of times I wish I never done anything sexual with Scrappy. No type of relationship on that level at all because it really destroyed our friendship. He would tell me everything, I knew everything that man was doing, but once we started dating, it just turned and it’s been destroyed, to me, the friendship ever since. We tried to get it back but we’re attracted to each other and we did a lot more outside of just being a friend. I do care for him; I have much love for him, forever. But being with him in the future, I can’t predict that. My focus is somewhere else. He ain’t going nowhere and I don’t care who knows about it,” Johnson explained.
And even though Scrappy is still in a relationship with Bambi — as well as apparently still hooking up with Erica Dixon — Johnson says that Scrappy isn’t walking away from her anytime soon.
“I don’t know, the few people don’t want him around me but clearly he doesn’t listen, clearly because he stay on my line,” she said.
However, it seems like Johnson is still angry over the way Scrappy treated her on the show.
“You said you want to be this faithful man on TV but outside of TV you throwing those text messages and you want to see me and you’re having sexual relations. You’re just like anybody else, you want your cake and eat it too. I know what I’m dealing with. I know how he is, so I know how to deal with him now. He broke my heart; he did what he did to me, first time on you, second time on me. I’m not going to allow myself to be put in that position to be screwed again,” she said.
Well, it seems like those eggs that Momma Dee was talking about just keep getting more scrambled and messy by the day, but clearly Scrappy likes things that way. – nicholas robinson
