Kanye West: ‘My interracial marriage should be treated with respect’

Kanye West took a moment to express himself last night at the Made In America Festival in Philadelphia. While on stage, West discussed why he takes music seriously and his marriage to Kim Kardashian.

West lashed out at people who criticized him and Kim for being in an interracial marriage.

“When I was at an all-black school and people use to pick on the only white girl at the school, that wasn’t a joke,” West said. “For me to be in a very publicized interracial relationship. It’s not a joke. It’s something that should be treated with respect.”
