Michael Brown had a criminal record – Media organizations sought the release of juvenile records for Michael Brown. The claim from these media organization and many right-wing pundits was that Michael Brown was a juvenile delinquent and known criminal. However, juvenile records are sealed by Missouri law and information is not readily given to the public. This attempt at the revictimization of Michael Brown fell flat when it was revealed that Michael Brown faced no juvenile charges at the time of his death and no serious felony charges.
