Heineken got the party jumping at its Friends + Family Loft Party in New York City last night. R&B star Luke James was the center of attention at the glitzy event, which took place at the luxurious Le Parker Meridien in midtown Manhattan. The singer-songwriter is one of R&B’s brightest newcomers, and with his self-titled debut album dropping in a week, it was a great chance for him to meet and greet his fans.
With James singing some of his signature tunes and DJ Clark Kent spinning, attendees mixed and mingled in the Estrela Penthouse against a backdrop of the New York skyline.
“I’m just ready,” James said of his upcoming album. “I like to think of it as a prelude. The first album is the prelude to the full story of Luke James. It establishes me as an artist you can look forward to.”
James served as host of The Loft Party, which was an intimate, invitation only experience. The Friends + Family highlights New York’s most stylish, progressive and influential; as captured by famed photographer Mel D Cole.
