Last week, Kandi Burruss suffered a major setback in her playwrite career when her stage play, “A Mother’s Love,” was abruptly canceled after only completing a few dates on its national tour. Recently, Burruss opened up about her heartbreak over the cancellation and explained why the show came to an end.
“Everyone was so disappointed and upset. We got so many great reviews in that first week. The cast was disappointed; all our fans were disappointed,” said Burruss on “The Russ Parr Morning Show” and explained that she might have too much going on right now to have a baby.
Burruss says that the promoter was to blame for the cancellation, and that they just couldn’t get the job done.
“Normally, Todd and I like to control everything … in this situation, we handed it over to a promoter. It’s like you’re giving your baby to somebody, and you realize they didn’t do right,” she said. “Basically, he just wasn’t equipped to handle the tour.”
Although the tour cancellation was certainly a crushing blow for Burruss, one silver lining was her pregnancy plans with her husband, Todd Tucker. Check out what the newly married mogul had to say about the matter after the cut. – nicholas robinson
