Lavette’s Prayer Breakfast
In this episode, we find first lady Lavette in the midst of planning the annual prayer breakfast for the church. Though understandably nervous about the event, she has the full support of her husband Bishop Ron who encourages her and reassures her that she’ll do great in her role as keynote speaker. At a lunch date she’s called, Lavette invites Myesha to sing and Christy to be involved. Myesha happily accepts, but Christy has to respectfully decline. The ladies then go to a speed racing track to blow off some steam. Finally the day of the prayer breakfast arrives and it is a rousing success. Myesha is well received in her performance of her original song “Victory” and Lavette gives a soul stirring speech that brings tears to the eyes of many in attendance.
