Hip-hop superstar Snoop Dogg has confirmed that he and hit making producer Pharrell are working on a collaborative album. The two have collaborated frequently over the years and Snoop told Nadeska Alexis of MTV that this particular project was a joy for him to be a part of.
“It’s a great record me and Pharrell did from top to bottom,” Snoop says. “It feels good and I’m happy to be back in the studio working with one of my favorite producers and homeboys.”
Soul legends Stevie Wonder and Charlie Wilson are among the featured artists on the project, which has no official title or release date as of yet. According to the West Coast rap legend, this won’t be anything like what they’ve done before as a duo.
“It’s different,” Snoop says. “It’s completely different than anything we’ve ever done. It feels good, sounds good, looks good.”
Over the summer, Pharrell briefly spoke about a project with Snoop during an interview with Big Boy of Power 106.
“It’s Snoop Dogg. You’re gonna bug out from the approach of what we did,” Pharrell said in June. “We’re almost done. The songs are done. Now I’m just adding the finishing touches. … But dude. Snoop’s album is better than mine.”
