Rich Homie Quan’s father, Corey Lamar, was the victim of an attempted robbery. According to WSB-TV in Atlanta, the attempted robbery occurred on the morning of Sept. 29 at Lamar’s barbershop in West Atlanta.
While opening the barbershop, Lamar was shot three times by a gunman. An eyewitness to the shooting chased the gunman who eventually jumped in a car and got away.
Lamar, who also manages Quan, was rushed to the hospital following the shooting. Employees at the barbershop said the location was shot at last month.
Although some news outlets have suggested that the shootings stem from Rich Homie Quan’s beef with another rapper, it has yet to be proved that the rapper has a beef with anyone.
Lamar is currently in critical condition and expected to survive.
