Moving sucks — but especially in this city.
No one enjoys moving, but it can be quite daunting in New York City. Approval can take time, you have to find a good leasing agent and a good deal and the entire process can be emotionally and financially draining. And the physical act of moving itself is no day at the beach either. Cramped spaces, both inside apartment buildings and in neighborhoods, can make it hard to maneuver moving trucks and furniture and if you don’t own a car, it’s especially painstaking getting across town via public transit while carrying boxes.
