Nick Cannon dishes on split from Mariah Carey

It’s been weeks now since news broke that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon have called it quits after six years of marriage and two beautiful children.

And while many critics would love to scream infidelity with Cannon as the culprit, the “America’s Got Talent” host recently sat down with “Dish Nation,” where he slammed rumors that he stepped out on Carey with Rose or anyone else for that matter.

Check out a few highlights from his recent interview with “Dish Nation” below…

On his split from Mariah:

“I think the wound’s too fresh to even be thinking about that right now.”

On his alleged affair with Wiz Khalifa’s ex, Amber Rose:

“That’s someone that I’m managing. I’m really excited about everything she’s about to do in her career and building her brand. I manage a lot of people, but obviously that’s one, because she’s in the news as well and kind of a public figure, people just kind of latched onto that as the media does at times.”

Cannon went on to remind fans that despite his current marital issues, the show must go on, by plugging his upcoming project with VH1, “Drumline 2,” set to air Monday, Oct. 27, at 9 p.m.:

“One thing, when I started producing this project and I wanted to bring it to television, I didn’t want to focus on my old storyline … I can’t come back and just still be drumming, so I wanted to focus on a new storyline and I focused on a female storyline, and wanted it to be about women empowerment in the sense where it’s about a young lady trying to join the line. I come back just for a quick cameo … My character Devon [Miles] kinda turns into a super music producer type of guy that comes back and pays respect for a couple of scenes.”

We’re happy to see that Cannon’s focus has remained on getting a check. We’d hate to see these two former love birds in court over a lack of support for their twins Monroe and Moroccan on either end. – ruthie hawkins/@ruubabie
