Mike Tyson recently revealed that he was once sexually abused as a child. During a recent interview with Opie Radio, Tyson discussed the abuse.
Tyson said he was kidnapped by a man at the age of 7. He said the man sexually molested him and he was eventually able to escape the abuse. Tyson said he never told anyone about the abuse and never saw the man again.
Tyson isn’t the only black male celebrity who has revealed that he was molested. Tyler Perry said that he was molested by four different people when he was a child. R. Kelly revealed in his autobiography Soulacoaster that he grew up in a house where women would walk around naked and he was sexually abused by two women by the age of 10. And Chris Brown said he was molested by a 14-year-old girl when he was 8 years old.
Tyson and other male celebrities prove that more must be done to prevent sexual abuse against children.
