Saturday, spirits were high as rolling out had the liberty of spending the weekend with KOB, Kids Off The Block, a foundation based out of Chicago’s South Side as they fed teens and families from across the city. KOB lit up the faces of hundreds of children with hot wholesome meals, prize giveaways, and hot entertainment from local talent like Sicko-Mob, Joel Quentez, and Vango.

KOB’s goal this weekend was to feed a thousand teens for Thanksgiving. KOB also wanted to give youth a sense of family tradition and something for which to be thankful. This particular event was founded by Diane Latiker founder and president of Kids Off The Block. “I started this event in response to many of the children that would come to my house on Thanksgiving day to ask if they could share our traditional family setting because they had no one to share it at home with”, said Diane Latiker.

So far, KOB has fed more than 3,000 children, teens, and young adults. Funds raised by this event will enable Kids Off The Block to feed the youth and their families citywide, continue to promote non-iolence, and advocate for higher eduction for learning among youth in Chicago.

KOB gave a special thanks to all the social clubs in attendance, families, Nike, Sicko-Mob, Dawn and Rudy, Ranadeb from (247HH), Hot Rod for hosting this wonderful event, DJ JQ, Vango, Joel Quentez, United States Border Patrol, J.R. Lyric Squadand all the donors that made this uplifting event possible.
