Toronto Raptors’ Global Ambassador and Young Money rapper Drake has a couple of new projects coming next year according to Raptor’s forward DeMar DeRozan.
Apparently as ambassador for the franchise, Drizzy has gotten to know some of the players and has invited them into his inner circle and OVO crew. During a recent appearance on “NBA TV,” DeRozan told Chris Webber that the “Worst Behavior” rapper has a few projects lined up for 2015.
“I talked to Drake the other night. He actually said he wanted to give me his mixtape,” DeRozan told Webber. “It comes out in January.”
Hopefully the as yet untitled mixtape is a not a victim of industry red tape and does come out per DeRozan’s timeline. Fans are already clamoring for and anticipating Drake’s fourth studio album entitled Views From The 6, which is scheduled to be released in the summer of 2015.
Drake’s last mixtape, So Far Gone, was released in 2009 on the cusp of his major label debut, and contained the double platinum single “Best I Ever Had.”
