A grand jury in Staten Island, New York, has refused to indict officer Daniel Pantaleo in the death of Eric Garner.
In July, Garner, who was unarmed, was detained and placed in an illegal chokehold by Pantaleo for selling loose cigarettes. The incident, which was captured on film and uploaded to YouTube, later went viral, causing outrage across social media.
As you can imagine, this news has angered people nationwide as the decision comes in the wake of a Missouri grand jury deciding not to indict the White officer who fatally shot Michael Brown in Ferguson.
