Earlier this year, news spread that Tyler Perry and his girlfriend, Gelila Bekele, were expecting a child together, and now it’s been revealed that the couple have finally welcomed a healthy baby boy.
According to People, Bekele gave birth to their son, Aman Tyler Perry, Sunday, Nov. 30.
“Mom and baby are happy and healthy. Tyler is so excited,” said a source about the birth.
The source also revealed that the couple named the baby Aman because it means peace and represents “the true meaning of Thanksgiving and then, of course, the holiday season.”
The couple already knew the sex of their baby months ago, but Perry is reportedly “over the moon” about having a son.
Perry and Bekele reportedly sent out a birth announcement to family and friends, but instead of asking for baby gifts, the couple asked that their loved ones donate to Charity Water, an organization dedicated to providing clean water to developing countries.
