Insensitive cop mocks Eric Garner with T-shirt line

Jason Barthel creator of

The last words of Eric Garner were “I can’t breathe,” and these three words have been a rallying cry for protesters around the country. But Corporal Jason Barthel of Mishawaka, Indiana, police department takes offense to Garner’s dying words and he is protesting with a new line of clothing. His line of clothing reads “Breathe Easy, Don’t Break the Law” and sales are going well.

Barthel is the owner of South Bend Uniform shop and his clients are police, firemen and EMS workers He stated, “The problem is we have a lot of people who are trying to create problems between the citizens and the people who try to protect them. When you break the law, unfortunately there’s going to be consequences, and some of them aren’t going to be pretty. Unfortunately that’s the reality.”

In addition, Barthel feels that the words “I can’t breathe” aggravate racial tensions and his line of clothing will help bring people together at $7.95 per T-shirt.

So standing on the corner in NY, playing on a playground in Cleveland, or playing with a air gun in Walmart are illegal activities. Ummm I will breathe easily when so called law enforcers stop abusing the laws. Shameful display of arrogance and total insensitivity to public outcry. I guess he missed that training session.

Good for him! Having 2 family members that are officers and put their lives in danger every day, I think it’s time to stop minimizing criminal activity and get the streets safe. If you break the law, you need to take accountability/responsibility for your actions and face the consequences regardless of your race, religion, ethnicity, gender, etc… Read interviews with Toni Morrison..She speaks well of Race. “There is no such thing as race. None. There is just a human race —
scientifically, anthropologically. Racism is a construct, a social
construct… it has a social function, racism.” If we are ever going to change this country around, the rage and hate of all Americans needs to stop! That doesn’t just stop and start with White Americans racist against Black Americans…it GOES BOTH WAYS!

I like how this girl Kati thinks she knows everything but in reality you sound idiotic because there is one race indeed the human race but dumbass officers don’t see it like that; they see it how you do, ignorant as shit!
