If this picture were to say a thousands words, Mel B’s holiday and marriage are absolutely merry!
As previously reported, the “X-Factor” judge and her husband Stephen Belafonte have been entangled in a series of reports claiming that the couple are headed for divorce. Even worse, there are reports of domestic abuse as the reason behind the split.
According to Us Weekly, the former Spice Girl’s only sister, Danielle Brown, added fuel to the fire by tweeting about Mel’s supposed illness [which caused her to miss the semifinals of the UK “X Factor”] by going to the press with recordings of what she called “abusive” phone calls Belafonte had allegedly made in weeks past. Brown’s tweets have since been deleted.
Rumors have also claimed that Mel was moving out of their home.
It wasn’t until the reality star was spotted on the set of “X Factor” [the day following her suspicious illness] seemingly battered and bruised, and without her wedding ring, the Sun newspaper reports, that fans began to weigh in on the issue, fearing for Mel’s safety.
Just days after the drama however, Mel B posted the above image via Instagram, all smiles, surrounded by her loved ones, including her hubby.
“Having a merry Christmas!” Mel captioned on Instagram while posing with husband Stephen Belafonte and their kids. “#Familytime #Funday.”
As you may recall, Belafonte attempted to diffuse the allegations a week prior via Twitter saying…
“I don’t usually respond to Twitter msgs but I will respond to comments of hitting my wife which I think are quite disgusting un true!” he wrote. “Mel was very ill a bunch of doctors helped her get better if fans can’t just relax B4 being negative they r not real fans of @OfficialMelB.”
