Girlfriend of man killed by police in Walmart dies in crash

John Crawford’s girlfriend Tasha Thomas dies in mystery car crash

There is sad news to report out of Ohio once again. Tasha Thomas, the former girlfriend of John Crawford, was killed in a high-speed, one-car accident this week. According to police sources, Thomas was riding in a car driven by her friend, Frederick Bailey, near Dayton, Ohio.. Police have estimated that the car was traveling at speeds close to 100 mph on New Year’s Day in a quiet neighborhood. At some point the car crashed into a pole and overturned and rolled several times. Thomas and Bailey where ejected from the car and their bodies traveled 78 to 100 feet before smashing into the ground. Police are saying excessive speed and alcohol contributed to the accident. An autopsy performed on Friday showed Thomas died of “multiple trauma injuries” and Bailey from “multiple blunt force injuries” as a result of the crash.

For many, however, the circumstances surrounding the death of Thomas are suspect. Thomas was outspoken regarding the death of Crawford, killed by Beavercreek police officers for holding a toy BB gun inside a Walmart in the toy aisle. Her narrative exposed the use of excessive force by the police and sparked a federal investigation. In addition, a video interrogation of Thomas that was released caused embarrassment to the Beavercreek Police Department. In the video, the police attempt to have Thomas confess that she and Crawford were going to commit a robbery at the Walmart and that Crawford was armed with a real gun. Thomas is seen in the video crying and denying the police attempt to implicate her and Crawford in an imagined crime. Thomas, 26, was the mother of three young boys.
