The legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. continues to inspire and provide opportunities for the next generation.
In honor of Dr. King’s legacy, Toyota Financial Service donated $50,000 to five HBCUs nationwide.
Dr. King’s alma mater, Morehouse College, was one of the recipients of the donation.
“This gift will enable some well-deserving students the opportunity to fulfill a personal dream of obtaining a degree from Morehouse College,” said James Shaw, Interim Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at Morehouse College. “Morehouse is committed to producing the next generation of servant leaders who will make a difference in the world, thereby following in the footsteps of our most illustrious alumnus, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.”
Other HBCUs to receive a donation from Toyota included Bowie State University, Howard University, Delaware State University, and Morgan State University.
