From all indications, it looks as though actor Chiwetel Ejiofor is on a roll and won’t slow down anytime soon.

The British born actor is close to finalizing a deal to appear alongside his “12 Years A Slave” co-star Benedict Cumberbatch in Marvel’s highly anticipated “Doctor Strange.”

Despite the fact that he hasn’t signed on officially or even decided which character he’ll play in the film, sources with knowledge of the situation say Ejiofor appearing in the movie is all but a formality; he is clearing his fall schedule so it will not conflict with the film’s shooting schedule.

Up next for Ejiofor is the Sundance premiere of “Z for Zachariah” and the soon to be released crime saga “Triple Nine.” In addition to those movies in the can, Ejiofor is wrapping up a role in Ridley Scott’s “The Martian” before turning his attention to another movie entitled “The Secret In Their Eyes.”

Marvel’s “Doctor Strange” is set to hit theaters in November 2016.
