Kandi’s play is canceled
Kandi’s play, A Mother’s Love, has been struggling in ticket sales ever since it launched two weeks ago. And Todd comes home and delivers some painful news to Kandi as he explains that the play has to be canceled. Todd explains that the promoter dropped the ball with funding and promotion and that the play simply can’t go on. Kandi is racked with guilt because her cast was depending on her for the money from the play and her fans were anticipating the play. And she finds little solace in Todd, who insists on pointing out what Kandi did wrong in the situation. However, he finally comes around and consoles her and promises they’ll knock the next big idea out of the park.
