The Internet has been buzzing since Drake dropped his surprise album, If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, early Friday morning. However, there is one person who isn’t really feeling Drizzy’s latest offering.
On the song “6 p.m. In New York” the OVO leader has a few choice words for his YMCMB labelmate Tyga:
I heard the lil lil homie talking reckless in Vibe
It’s quite a platform you chose, you should have kept it inside
Oh you tried, It’s so childish calling my name on the world’s stage
You need to act your age and not your girl’s age.
Drake’s barbs of course are in reference to an interview Tyga did last year with Vibe magazine in which he admitted he didn’t really care for the Toronto rapper and that their relationship was “forced” because of being labelmates.
“I don’t like Drake as a person,” said Tyga. “He’s just fake to me. I like his music; you know what I’m saying? I think his music is good, but we’re all different people. We were forced together and it was kinda like we were forcing relationships together. It is what it is.”
After hearing about the track, Tyga used Twitter to address Drake and infer that he is still avoiding a long overdue confrontation with Chris Brown.
“@Drake u still a b—. All that sneak dissing is weak. Just pull up. I know where you live and u know my address .. .U been ducking the fade from Brown,” Tyga tweeted and then deleted shortly thereafter.
We will see if Drake responds or just lets Tyga’s response fall by the wayside.
