Rapper Afroman was reportedly arrested on Tuesday, Feb. 17, in the middle of a show in Biloxi, Missisippi, after allegedly sucker punching a female fan in the face.

According to reports, the “Because I Got High” performer, 40, was playing a concert at Kress Live when a female listener approached the stage. As soon as Afroman noticed her, he swung his arm back quickly and punched the fan hard enough to knock her off her feet. Seemingly unbothered by the incident, the recording artist went right back to his set. Since the altercation, disturbing footage has surfaced from the event, featuring the young woman edging closer and closer to the musician before beginning to dance against him as she holds a drink in her hand.

“This was a completely involuntary reflex reaction to people infringing on his stage space,” a rep for the Grammy-nominated performer told Billboard in a statement. “It was uncharacteristic behavior that was initiated by outside uncontrolled forces.”

According to TMZ, Biloxi police took Afroman, whose real name is Joseph Edgar Foreman, into custody outside the venue where he was performing, in response to a call about an assault. The rapper, who authorities say “gave them no problem whatsoever,” was booked and released on a $330,000 bond.
