Leave it to controversial athlete Lolo Jones to slam the year’s most successful film to date. Following the Valentine’s Day release of the film adaptation of E.L. James’ popular book trilogy, Fifty Shades of Grey, the self-proclaimed virgin aired her disgust for the flick via Twitter.

Also a devout Evangelical Christian, the 29-year-old then explained her stance saying the movie’s hypersexual plot is an abomination which in a way counsels people to think that sex for pleasure is the answer to emotional pain.

During a recent interview for HBO’s “Real Sports,” Jones commented on her choice to abstain from sex saying, “It’s just a gift I want to give my husband. But please understand this journey has been hard. There [are] virgins out there and I want to let them know that it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life. Harder than training for the Olympics. Harder than graduating from college has been to stay a virgin before marriage. I’ve been tempted, I’ve had plenty of opportunities.”

What do you think of Jones’ criticism of Fifty Shades of Grey?
